Biomechanics based bike fitting tailored around YOUR bodies individual needs.
Our fitting process is rooted in over 15 years experience in human movement and designed to maximise the ‘big 3’ elements of cycling performance as follows..
All of our fits work on the basis of maximising comfort as the primary goal, once we have achieved that we look to develop power within your position and finally coach and set you in the best position to be as aerodynamic as possible.
We have developed our fitting process with a background in top level cycling and triathlon along with over a decade of experience in biomechanics, rehab and strength and conditioning coaching.
We work in partnership with you to ensure that you are in the optimal position rather than aiming to get you within an arbitrary ‘range’ of joint angles which a lot of basic, cycle shop fitting services work to.
Please have a look at the drop down below for an in depth look at the process we follow and continue to scroll down to view the fitting options that we offer.
It is our belief that comfort, power and aerodynamics are not exclusive elements within a bike fit, in fact quite the opposite.
A really good bike fit should maximise all three of these elements so that the rider can get the most from every ride.
With that in mind, we approach every rider and every fit as an individual puzzle – it is a collaborative process.
The most important outcome of a successful fit is that YOU are happy with the result, that you can ride all day in comfort AND that you can maximise the efficiency of every pedal stroke you make.
We start with a full postural and movement assessment to find out where your level of mobility and any imbalances you may have. We then complete a dynamic fit to YOUR bike, starting with foot/pedal interface, moving to the saddle setup and finally the hand/handlebar interface.
Once we have you fully set up we then provide you with notes on all the dimensions of your fit so you can replicate it on any other bikes.
If you go away and decide that the the fit is not exactly perfect we will complete any adjustments in a follow up session free of charge.
All of our fitting sessions are carried out in our dedicated private studio in Hornchurch on the Essex/East London border with easy links from all over London and the South East of England.
